Xintekvideo's Transcoder Model SDI-313 is a universal Color Encoder, Color Decoder, Format Transcoder, Analog to SDI and SDI to Analog converter. It accepts any analog format, Composite, Y/C, RGB, Y/R-Y/B-Y (NTSC or PAL scan rates) and converts it to SDI and to any other analog format. It also accepts a SDI input and converts it to its corresponding analog formats (525/625, 60/50 Hz). An internally generated Color Bars signal is also available at the analog outputs.

The selected input or inputs are first antialias filtered, then converted to digital signals at 27 MHz sampling rate and 10-bit quantizing accuracy. Advanced digital processing technology is used in the color decoding process, including 5-line adaptive comb filters for the composite input signal, low pass and band pass filtering appropriate to the input standard, and data sampling decimation filters. Signal processing is performed with 12-bit quantizing accuracy. The digital signals are converted to SDI. The SDI signal is reconverted to analog. Composite and component outputs are simultaneously available.
